A wonderful victory for Michael Vanthourenhout today on the Citadelle de Namur. After a long race chasing, he was able to pull away from top favourite Tom Pidcock in lap 5. After a few slips by the latter, he managed to beat the young Briton by more than half a minute in the 11th round of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.

Namur proved once again that the 11th round of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup would not be a World Cup without the round on the Citadel of Namur. The Citadelcross provided a spectacular race for the women elite, where an overpowering Lucinda Brand put on a one-woman show.

British rider Tom Pidcock was the winner in Rucphen. In the last lap he caught and passed teammates Eli Iserbyt and Michael Vanthourenhout.

Marianne Vos has won the 10th round of the UCI cyclo-cross World Cup in Rucphen. The Dutchwoman beat world champion Lucinda Brand in a sprint between the two.

Saturday December 18 is not only the return of Mathieu van der Poel in the field, but also the introduction of a newcomer in the UCI Veldrijden World Cup. The competition heads to the Dutch town of Rucphen for the first time, where a course of just over 3 km awaits.

After a long solo, Wout van Aert was the winner of the first ever UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race in Val di Sole. In the snow, he was 49 seconds faster than Vanthourenhout. The Briton Pidcock finished 1’28” behind.
