Pieterse prevails in snow of Val di SoleA white carpet of snow, we don’t see that often during the cyclo-cross season, but we did in Italy’s Val di Sole. There, the riders were able to show their skills on the ice. The technically strong Pieterse did so with bravura and she triumphed after a nice solo.

Van Aert solos in DublinWout van Aert has secured his first win of the season. The Belgian champion had to chase twice after bad luck, but decided the race with one acceleration on the penultimate lap. He makes it ahead of Sweeck and Pidcock.

Van Empel triumphs after thrilling duel with Pieterse in DublinFem van Empel’s dominance continues. With a sixth victory in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup this season, she is more firmly in the lead in the standings. Van Empel was able to hold off Pieterse after an ultimate acceleration in the final metres in the field. Betsema finished in third place.

Van Empel cruises solo to her fifth UCI World Cup victory in AntwerpenDutch rider Fem van Empel took her fifth UCI World Cup victory of the season in Antwerp. Her compatriot Puck Pieterse offered some resistance for half of the race, but the UCI World Cup leader eventually built up an impressive lead.

Van der Poel makes a return in style and wins for the fifth time in HulstA fairly technical circuit awaited the riders in Hulst in the Netherlands. Slopes and slippery descents made for an exciting race that was partly decided in the final lap by world champion Tom Pidcock breaking a wheel. Mathieu van der Poel soloed straight to a first win this season after a strong comeback in the field.

Pieterse goes solo to claim second consecutive World Cup victory in HulstThe technical circuit in Hulst provided quite a spectacle during the 7th World Cup race. After what promised to be an exciting duel between Pieterse and Van Empel, a crash by Van Empel threw a spanner in the works. This meant Pieterse was able to ride solo to her second World Cup victory in a row.
