An absolute classic was on the cards on Sunday 22 December, as the riders once again dived into the Kuil of Zonhoven. In the women's race, Ceylin Alvarado took her second World Cup victory of the season after a thrilling race. Mathieu van der Poel dominated the men's race on his return to the field.

Women Elite
Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado took control of the race in the Kuil. A poor start and an even worse mood from the weather gods couldn’t stop her in Zonhoven. The Dutch rider kept Zoe Backstedt and Lucinda Brand behind her, claiming her second victory in the UCI Cyclocross World Cup 2024-2025.
Men Elite
The first cyclo-cross race of the season immediately marked the first victory for Mathieu van der Poel. He broke away in the first lap and delivered an impressive solo performance in the "Kuil" of Zonhoven. A strong Thibau Nys joined the world champion on the podium, while Joran Wyseure secured a fine third place.
