The round in Hulst produced two new winners in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. Both Marie Schreiber and Niels Vandeputte led their races from start to finish and claimed victory for the first time in their careers in the most prestigious regularity competition.

Women Elite
Marie Schreiber achieved her very first World Cup victory in Hulst. The Luxembourg rider led from the first to the last meter, finishing ahead of Lucinda Brand and Puck Pieterse.
Men Elite
After Marie Schreiber, Niels Vandeputte also secured his first World Cup victory in Hulst. The Belgian adopted the same tactic as the Luxembourg rider: leading from start to finish.
