After crowning themselves world champions in Hoogerheide in early 2023, both Fem van Empel and Mathieu van der Poel were allowed to triumph there again. The first dealt with Kata Blanka Vas and Lucinda Brand in the sprint, while the other got away alone a lap from the end.
WOMEN ELITE
World champion Van Empel showed she was ready for the World Championships in the final World Cup round of the season. The Dutchwoman placed the decisive move on the steps and then sprinted convincingly to victory from the front. Read more.

As with the women, the world champion was victorious in the final round. Mathieu van der Poel raced solo to victory in 'his' Hoogerheide. Joris Nieuwenhuis came in second, Pim Ronhaar third. Read more.
