A UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race was held in Maasmechelen for the first time ever. In front of a large crowd, Laurens Sweeck won the first World Cup round of his career in the elite men's category. Among the women, Fem Van Empel managed to win her fourth consecutive World Cup race.

WOMEN ELITE

None other than Fem van Empel has won the latest round of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in Maasmechelen. The young Dutch rider has thus won her fourth World Cup race in a row. Read how she achieved that victory.
